It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of PAGCOR’s former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alicia Ll. Reyes last February 26, 2022.

Chairman Reyes was appointed in 1986 by then President Corazon C. Aquino as the agency’s Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. She was re-appointed by the next two Presidents - Fidel V. Ramos and Joseph Estrada. Her term in PAGCOR ended in 2001.

Under Reyes’ leadership, PAGCOR began its rise as the third largest revenue-generating arm of the government. The agency became the source of much-needed funds for the reestablishment of the Philippine economy.

Prior to PAGCOR, she served as governor of the Development Bank of the Philippines.

Mrs. Alice Reyes is remembered by colleagues and family for her competence, unquestionable integrity and religiosity.
